Hi there! I am Gabriela, a UX Designer and Community Manager.

I want to tell you a little bit about myself…

The success of my designs has always been the focus on the user experience which is analyze through research. My main objective is to help companies make better business and design decisions in order to increase sales, improve product quality and, thus, make each new project successful, through a deep understanding of user’s needs. For me, it is important that the user of a product has a meaningful experience; for this reason, research is essential. It helps companies to know the user and improve their experience with that product.

I have a background in Psychology and Cognitive Science; I know how relevant is to know people’s behavior, thinking and personality. The skills I have in these two fields have helped me to do more analytical, assertive, and empathetic work. In 2020, I decided to embark on a new knowledge journey, and I finished a specialization in UX Designer.

I like to learn about the process of creating and designing a product and the customer guiding the steps of the designers to improve the experience. Another aspect that I love about UX is that user research is never finished, since these types of projects continue to evolve.

Working in UX has given me the opportunity to expand my knowledge in design, marketing, research, usability, metrics, and statistics. In addition, it has given me the opportunity to practice english. I live in Costa Rica, but I like to work for many companies around the world. Because of that, I am willing to travel anywhere in the world. I love traveling and learning about other cultures!

Besides of my experience in UX, I like digital marketing field too. Thanks to my project called Psicogamer (blog about video game psychology), I learned about social media and marketing; since then, I knew I wanted to work on it too.

Thanks to my knowledge in UX, I can also help companies understand their users and define their target audience so that they can boost their business through social networks with efficient and attractive content creation strategies.

Since the beginning of my career, I have been committed to transform lives in a positive way, and now I do it through technology. I want to help people to have a better experience with technology, so they can enjoy it, get involved with it, and be satisfied with the product. I value the information that users give me, and I respect companies that give me the opportunity to improve the product they offer.

Some of my interests are UX Design, UX Research, Design Thinking, Digital Marketing, Social Media,  Game User Research (GUR), Videogame Psychology, neuroscience, neurogaming, brain emulation, virtual reality, gamification, computer-human interaction (CHI), AI & machine learning, robotics.
